Democrats are lining up to run for President in 2020.
And one top challenger is attracting more attention than the rest.
But it’s for all the wrong reasons, and this top Trump challenger’s campaign just imploded in one unbelievable way.
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar was viewed by many in the fake news media as a dark horse favorite to win the nomination.
She is a woman from the Midwest who is not a shrill progressive that leans into identity politics radicalism.
But her first week on the campaign trail saw her campaign implode before it even got off the launching pad.
A trio of stories popped up in the national media about how Klobuchar was an abusive boor of a boss that verbally and physically abused her staff.
Buzzfeed News reports:
But behind the doors of her Washington, DC, office, the Minnesota Democrat ran a workplace controlled by fear, anger, and shame, according to interviews with eight former staffers, one that many employees found intolerably cruel. She demeaned and berated her staff almost daily, subjecting them to bouts of explosive rage and regular humiliation within the office, according to interviews and dozens of emails reviewed by BuzzFeed News.
That anger regularly left employees in tears, four former staffers said. She yelled, threw papers, and sometimes even hurled objects; one aide was accidentally hit with a flying binder, according to someone who saw it happen, though the staffer said the senator did not intend to hit anyone with the binder when she threw it.
“I cried. I cried, like, all the time,” said one former staffer.
In the emails seen by BuzzFeed, often sent between 1 and 4 in the morning, Klobuchar regularly berated employees, often in all capital letters, over minor mistakes, misunderstandings, and misplaced commas. Klobuchar, in the emails, which were mostly sent over the past few years, referred to her staff’s work as “the worst in … years,” and “the worst in my life.”
The early weeks of the Democrat primary have seen vicious leaks by candidates about their opponents.
Elizabeth Warren apologized for claiming to be a Native American on a state bar application.
Bernie Sanders was forced to confront allegations of sexual harassment on his 2016 Presidential campaign.
Vice President Joe Biden was hit with past statements where Biden praised segregationist Governor George Wallace.
Now Klobuchar is facing the music.
All this took place in the first month of the campaign and up to 15 more Democrats may jump into the race.
We will keep you up-to-date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
