Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is out for revenge.
McCabe was at the heart of the Deep State conspiracy against the President of the United States.
And he was caught telling one lie about Donald Trump that will make your blood boil.
McCabe published a book, The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump, to settle the score with President Trump.
As part of promoting his book, McCabe sat for a softball interview with CBS’s flagship program 60 Minutes.
During the interview McCabe told a blatant lie when he claimed he was fired for opening an investigation into if Donald Trump was secretly a Russian agent.
Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe speculated he was fired for opening a case against President Donald Trump.
According to McCabe, when asked he said he should have seen it coming given Trump’s tweet in December 2017.
“I guess I should have,” McCabe replied. “Because the president spoke about it publicly. He made it quite clear that he wanted me gone before I could retire. I believe I was fired because I opened a case against the president of the United States.”
McCabe presented his firing as part of a Trump-led cover-up of the President’s nefarious ties to Russia.
But while McCabe should have been fired for that act of sedition, the real reason he was fired was because he lied to investigators about unauthorized media leaks during the Clinton email investigation.
It’s in McCabe’s interest to paint himself as a sympathetic figure.
A grand jury was impaneled to possibly indict him for lying to investigators.
So he needs to raise money for his legal defense.
And that means selling as many books as possible.
The best way to do that is convince the anti-Trump “resistance” that you are a martyr for their cause.
James Comey pulled off this trick and his anti-Trump book shot to the top of the sales charts.
McCabe is desperate to copy that success and is willing to lie in order to achieve his goals.
