The corporate-controlled media and Democrat Party are rallying to the defense of Maxine Waters.
Waters’ calls for violence if a jury acquits the officer accused of killing George Floyd has all hell breaking loose.
Then Trey Gowdy dropped the hammer on Maxine Waters with one brutal reality check.
Waters showed up in Minneapolis over the weekend and demanded that Black Lives Matter get more “confrontational” if the jury acquits Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin.
Hours after Waters’ comments, terrorists opened fire on the Minneapolis National Guard, injuring two Guard members in a drive-by shooting.
The following day on Fox News, Trey Gowdy tore into Waters for her comments and instead urged the public to listen to voices that respect how the American system works.
“Dana, you got Cedric Richmond and so many of my colleagues I never agreed with on anything but they would say because they’re lawyers they would say let’s respect the system,” Gowdy stated. “You are welcome to disagree with the verdict but creating more innocent victims does nothing to honor the memory of George Floyd.”
Gowdy added that Waters had a history of incendiary rhetoric and un-American positions – Waters defended the 1992 riots in Los Angeles following the Rodney King trial – and that Americans just needed to ignore her and turn their attention to members of Congress looking to offer real solutions.
“Maxine Waters has a history of speaking and saying what can only be described as crazy as hell things,” Gowdy added. “So I would tell people to turn off Auntie Maxine and focus on members of Congress who feel strongly about the justice system. Tim Scott feels strongly about the justice system. Go see if he is calling on people to confront innocent folks to prove some larger point.”
Waters is now facing censure in Congress for her comments inciting violence.
For decades, Waters has been a poisonous force in American politics.
But her defense of political violence may have finally been a bridge too far.
