Trey Gowdy just slammed this California Congressman over his collusion claims

Democrats are clinging to claims of collusion despite no evidence being uncovered after more than a year.

They’re hoping to ride a wave from Trump-Russia narrative straight through the 2018 midterm elections.

But Trey Gowdy won’t stand for it and just exposed one Congressman’s true motives.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is the Ranking Member on the House Intelligence Committee.

And one of the chief proponents of the Trump-Russia fake news narrative.

When asked about the lack of evidence, Gowdy didn’t hold back in why he thinks Schiff is trying to keep the story alive.

The Daily Caller reports:

“Some of my Democratic colleagues, namely Adam Schiff, said he had evidence, more than circumstantial evidence of collusion, before the investigation even began,” Gowdy said in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo.

Gowdy accused Democrats of prejudging the investigations into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Kremlin, noting that nearly 60 party members have already called for Trump’s impeachment.

“Almost 60 Democrats voted to move forward with impeachment. Already. Before Bob Mueller’s released a single finding. Before the House Intelligence or Senate Intelligence Committees have released a single, solitary finding, almost 60 House Democrats think the president ought to be removed from office,” said Gowdy, a member of the House Intelligence Committee.

“That is infuriating,” Bartiromo chimed in.

“Well, it’s only infuriating if you have high expectations,” Gowdy replied.

“[Congress] is not where serious investigations take place. It is where Senate campaigns in California take place, but it’s not where serious investigations take place,” he added, referring to Schiff, whose name has been floated as a possible replacement to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

When Schiff is pressed for evidence, he points to disproven or inconsequential stories reported in the media.

In the full interview (posted below), Gowdy discusses Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, and much, much more.

What are your thoughts on the Trump-Russia “collusion” story?

Fake news? Do you think Gowdy is on to something that it’s all posturing for the upcoming elections?

Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Obama is the cause of our national debt. You can tell he never owned a business. He is the worst President and Trump will go down in history as the greatest President ever.

  2. It is time for a re-evaluation and allegiances to this country by Congressional members. Pelosci , Schiff , Feinstein, and so many others have been tap dancing the Treason soft shoe for way to long

  3. As soon as we vote out all dems, libs and rinos in 2018 and 2020, we can get back to making america great again. Send the crooked dems to prison and we will start to heal this country again. Build the wall and we will M.A.G.A.

  4. Dave W–i noticed that at the time. Obammy was caught once again on open mic at an event saying, “Americans are stupid.” That is how he & the Libtards view. Even Nixon wasn’t as narcissistic as Obola. O thinks he is The Smartest, The Coolest Person in the Room. He said recently Americans want him back.

  5. Whatever the DemORats accuse Trump/Patriots of doing, it is exactly the thing the Dems are doing. It is the psycholigical term of “projection.” They all should rot in hell!

  6. Speaking of pencil-neck Schiff, how ’bout that ever so disarming thing he does with his eyes? He can talk on ‘n on but I don’t hear a thing, thank God, I’m just watching his eyes. Creepy.

  7. Obama is an idol to Hillary. At the end of his first term, Obama was caught on an open mic making a comment to a Russian diplomat that after the election he would be able to do much more. Consider all that has happened to benefit Russia during Obama’s second term. Who sold uranium to Russia? Who has aided Russia in getting a foothold in Syria? Why would Russia think they would benefit from Tump when they already had an inroad with Clinton?

  9. After all this CRAP is over and PRESIDENT TRUMP is found NOT GUILTY or whaT EVER THEY CALL IT WHO ever pushed this FARCE should have to pony up the CASH TO PAY FOR IT Trey for AG HEEL YES

  10. There is a great deal more evidence of collusion between the Russians and the Hilliaryites than there is of any link between the Russians and the Trumpites. The uranium deal and the bloated payment for services rendered in the outrageous fee paid to Bill Clinton for a “speech” should be enought to conclude this.

The Russians would be easily forgiven for believing that they would be having more profitable relations with Hillary, which they now knew could be bought than they could with Donald, who remained an unknown and MIGHT not be so easily bought.

In true liberal fashion, they took what was the reality of the situation and spun it about 180 degrees, claiming that the dirty deeds that THEY committed were committed by their opponents! And, of course, with the help of their sychophants in our “mainstream media”, their twisted version is what has come to be believed by too many people!

  11. The only Collusion was between Hitlery and Russia. Russia would not want anyone stopping their deal to buy 20% of America’s Uranium. Trump could stop it so his being elected is not what Russia wanted. Some claimed Russia spent Millions on ads on the Internet but I NEVER saw a single ad for Trump but plenty for Hitlery so again sounds like Russia was backing her not Trump. Democrats are only whining because their pick even with NEARLY ALL the MORON MEDIA in her pocket, DNC Stealing from Bernie, Her being given the Debate questions before hand, Obozo’s blessing, and everything else in her favor she LOST. To make things worse Trump did as he said he would and cut American’s in the middle class and working poor’s taxes which will hurt them in the Midterm elections which will keep them from taking back Congress as they want to do. They HATE that Trump and the Republicans have done something Dems have LIED about doing my entire life which is cut America’s working peoples taxes.

  12. I agree. I think Trey Gowdy and AG would be a better choice, but Sessions is still a good man and could be a big help in another spot.

  13. Perhaps we need to start electing the AG in the same way we elect the President. That would mean there would be a possibility that a Democratic President could end up with a Republican AG and vice versa. Which in reality might not be such a bad idea. Thank about the things that Obama would not have been able to accomplish without Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch. Or Bush without Gonzales or Mukaskey. And don’t even get me started on Clinton and Reno. I don’t know, but it is something to think about
