Former Congressman Trey Gowdy blew the lid off of Hillary Clinton’s illegal private email server.
There’s not much Democrats can do that will shock him.
And Trey Gowdy was stunned when he discovered this sinister Democrat scheme.
Elon Musk’s release of the Twitter Files provided hard evidence for what conservatives already knew.
Democrats and the federal government worked hand in hand with Big Tech to ruthlessly censor conservatives on social media.
Big Tech’s growing power over what can be said in the digital town square is tipping the scales in favor of the Left.
Ken Buck (R-CO) is one of the leading conservatives trying to reign in Big Tech.
He appeared on Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy on Fox News and laid out his plan to defend free speech online to viewers.
Buck explained how left-wing Big Tech companies have “declared war” on free speech online.
“We know that the Biden administration has contacted social media companies and asked them to take people off of social media because they disagree with the Biden administration’s narrative on vaccines or masks or some other issue,” Buck said. “We know that these companies have actually discriminated, took Clarence Thomas’ video off of YouTube during the Black History Month, and we know that they are suppressing positive stories on Republican members of Congress and Presidential candidates.”
Democrats are conducting their censorship campaign under the guise of fighting so-called misinformation.
Of course, misinformation is any speech that Democrats don’t like or agree with.
“That’s a war in my mind,” Buck told Gowdy.
By censoring stories during the 2020 election, like Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from hell,” Big Tech is controlling the narrative by limiting what information the public can see.
“When you control the flow of information in a democracy, you control elections,” Buck explained. “That is scary. And I think the American public needs to know and make sure they support efforts to create competition and to make sure we don’t allow a few companies to control the flow of information in this country.”
Google has been accused of manipulating the results from its search engine to place information favorable to Democrats at the top while at the same time hiding favorable stories about Republicans.
Buck told Gowdy that the new Republican House majority hoped to pass bills that would promote competition between social media companies and keep a handful of Big Tech players from dominating the market.
“For the last three and a half years, we have investigated, we’ve proposed different bills. The Democrat leaders, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, have made sure that those bills did not get to floor. I am hoping Kevin McCarthy as Speaker gets the bills to the floor, we get a vote on those bills, and we force the Senate to vote,” Buck concluded.
Stopping Big Tech companies from running amok will be a key priority for Buck and other conservatives in this session of Congress.
