On Monday, the Supreme Court put an end to Donald Trump’s legal challenges and granted Manhattan’s Democrat District Attorney access to the former President’s tax returns as part of a criminal investigation into Trump’s finances.

The Supreme Court has cleared the way for prosecutors in New York City to receive eight years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns and other financial records as part of an ongoing investigation into possible tax, insurance and bank fraud in Trump’s business empire.
The high court’s decision to turn down Trump’s request for a stay of a grand jury subpoena advances a criminal probe by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. that appears to be one of the most serious of an array of legal threats Trump faces in his post-presidency.
The New York Times obtained – many believe illegally – Donald Trump’s tax returns during the campaign and published the details of Trump’s tax filings.
Even the anti-Trump New York Times did not allege that Trump committed any crimes or fraud.
Democrats don’t care.
They want these politically-motivated investigations to continue to damage any attempt at a 2024 comeback by Donald Trump.
Even if Donald Trump ends up exonerated, an investigation or indictment will hang over him and damage his prospects.
Democrats would surely like to see Donald Trump in prison.
But they’re willing to settle for destroying any political future Trump has.
