Tucker Carlson doubled-down on one fight that is the riskiest move of his career

Tucker Carlson is known for courting controversy.

But now the popular Fox News host is locked in the biggest controversy of his career.

And Tucker Carlson doubled-down on one fight that is the riskiest move of his career.

Tucker Carlson began a feud with Democrat Senator Tammy Duckworth after Duckworth declared she was open to tearing down statues of George Washington.

Carlson said this showed Duckworth “hated” America.

Duckworth responded with a Tweet that implied because she was a wounded combat veteran she was beyond criticism.

Carlson doubled-down in response by blasting Duckworth for refusing to appear on his show because he would not apologize to her out of fear of debating the fact that she wanted to tear down statues of America’s first President.

This led Carlson to blasting Duckworth as a “coward.”

“Her flak informed us that before even considering our request, we must first issue a public apology for criticizing Tammy Duckworth. In other words, I will not debate you until first you admit you are completely wrong. Keep in mind, Tammy Duckworth is not a child, at least not technically, she is a sitting United States Senator often described as a hero. Yet Duckworth is too afraid to defend her own statements on a cable TV show. What a coward.”

That wasn’t all.

Carlson told the story of how during the Obama administration, veterans seeking medical care pleaded for Duckworth’s help to help fix the long lines and substandard care they found at VA hospitals across the country.

Duckworth refused to help and told them “that’s just the way it is.”

Carlson, with contempt dripping from his voice, went on to call Duckworth a fraud.

Carlson isn’t backing down to the mob, nor is he allowing Duckworth to hide behind identity politics and claim she can never be criticized.

And that is one reason Carlson is the most popular host on Fox News.
