The media was furious.
It was bad news for the Washington, D.C. Swamp.
But Tucker Carlson will be grinning from ear to ear when he sees the results of this jaw-dropping poll.
Joe Biden’s reckless war in Ukraine is a pet project for the D.C. Swamp, the globalists, and warmongers in Congress.
But while RINOs like Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, and John Cornyn make the case for funding Joe Biden’s blank check for sending weapons to Ukraine, Republican voters are turning against schemes to escalate a war that could spiral out-of-control into nuclear holocaust.
A new Axios/Ipsos poll found a small minority of Republicans support Joe Biden’s taxpayer-funded gravy train for Ukraine.
“Just 42% of Republicans surveyed now say they support sending U.S. weapons and money to Ukraine — compared with 79% of Democrats and 60% of independents,” Axios reported.
Support for Joe Biden’s war against Russia depended on where Americans got their news.
Americans who watched Fox News – where Tucker Carlson is the biggest star and opposes funding for the war – or who consume other conservative media are 23 points less likely to support continuing to arm the Ukrainians.
Americans who consume “mainstream” media – where CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post parade a host of Deep State operatives, Democrats, and establishment RINOs before their audience to deliver a steady stream of pro-war propaganda – are much more likely to support the war.
“Support for arming Ukraine is noticeably lower among people whose primary news source is Fox News or other conservative media (43%) than among people who mainly watch or read network news, major national papers or their local news (66%),” Axios also reports.
The ever-decreasing levels of support among conservatives for the war in Ukraine could help explain why Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Fox Corps Chairman Lachlan Murdoch.
“I’ve learned that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky personally called Fox News chairman and C.E.O. Lachlan Murdoch last night to reiterate his condolences for the members of the Fox News team who were killed and injured by the Russian military a year ago today, and to thank him for Fox Corp’s ongoing donations to the Ukrainian relief effort. Fox Corp. donated $1 million last year after the attack on its journalists, and another $1 million this week, both via the Red Cross,” Puck’s Dylan Byers reported.
Conservatives suspect the true purpose of the call had little to do with charitable giving but to pressure Murdoch to lean on his hosts to deliver more favorable coverage of Ukraine like appears on CNN.
