Elizabeth Warren keeps making dumb comments.
Sometimes they come back to bite her.
That was the case with these comments she soon came to regret.
Republican invoked the “nuclear option” to confirm Justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
Democrats engaged in the first partisan filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee.
That left the GOP no choice but to change Senate rules to eliminate the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees.
Democrats were furious.
But not too long ago Democrats were very much in favor of eliminating the filibuster for nominees.
In fact, Elizabeth Warren was one of the cheerleaders for Harry Reid’s 2013 rule changes which eliminated the filibuster for all executive branch and lower court nominees.
The Daily Caller reports her saying on the Senate floor:
“We need to call out these filibusters for what they are: Naked attempts to nullify the results of the last presidential election… Senators not only have the right to change the filibuster rules, senators have a duty to change the filibuster rules.”
You can watch the video of her remarks below.
But before Majority Leader McConnell invoked the nuclear option, Warren expressed support blocking Gorsuch because Democrats were filibustering.
It’s clear that @realDonaldTrump’s Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, doesn’t have enough support in the Senate to be confirmed.

Republicans were left with no other options but to invoke the precedent set by Harry Reid in 2013 and that Elizabeth Warren voted for.
What goes around comes around.
