What this top boss at Fox News really thinks of Donald Trump will put your jaw on the ground

Fox News Channel used to be the one media outlet that would give Donald Trump a fair shake.

But something changed.

And what this top boss at Fox News really thinks of Donald Trump will put your jaw on the ground.

Viewers noticed in recent months that Fox News Channel has not interviewed Donald Trump in more than 100 days and regularly promotes other Republicans rumored to be running for President in 2024.

This was no accident.

A piece on CNN revealed that Fox News CEO Lachlan Murdoch thinks Donald Trump running for President again in 2024 is bad for America.

However, Murdoch also admitted that the Fox News Channel audience still supports Trump, which explains why the editorial slant is to try and ignore him instead of criticizing him outright.

CNN reported:

Fox News largely refrains from criticizing Donald Trump. But, in private, Lachlan Murdoch has denounced some of the former President’s behavior in harsh terms.

In private this year, the Fox Corp. chief executive has freely criticized Trump, saying that he disagrees with much of the way the former President behaves, sources tell me. Murdoch has gone so far as to tell people that he believes if Trump were to run again, it would be bad for the country, I’m told.

But, the sources added, Murdoch has also noted that the Fox News audience continues to support Trump. Which is to say that Murdoch knows that supporting Trump is good for business — and, more importantly, he knows that pillorying him is bad for business because it would alienate the channel’s core audience.

Former RINO Speaker of the House Paul Ryan also sits on the Board of Directors at Fox Corps.

Ryan is rumored to be agitating behind the scenes for Fox News to break with Trump and move back in the direction of the Mitt Romney/George W. Bush establishment.

But in the wake of the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, Fox’s opinion hosts are uniformly in Trump’s camp.

If Donald Trump runs for President and wins the GOP nomination, there is little doubt that the Fox News opinion hosts will back his candidacy.

But in regards to the rumors that Fox News brass wants to move on from Donald Trump, it does appear that where there is smoke, there is fire.
