Democrats have challenged Attorney General William Barr at every turn.
Their goal is to grind the Trump agenda to a halt and set the President up for defeat in 2020.
And William Barr got hit with a nasty surprise that made his life a living hell.
Attorney General William Barr recently rolled out changes to asylum policy designed to stop the illegal alien invasion at the Southern Border.
The new rules prevent illegal aliens from applying for asylum in the United States unless they first request asylum in another country.
Open borders radicals led by the anti-American ACLU immediately filed suit.
The ACLU — representing four advocacy organizations — argued that President Donald Trump’s latest crackdown violates federal immigration and regulatory laws.
“This is the Trump administration’s most extreme run at an asylum ban yet,” said ACLU attorney Lee Gelernt in a related announcement. “It clearly violates domestic and international law, and cannot stand.”
The departments of Justice and Homeland Security announced a new fast-track rule Monday that will block asylum for any migrants who first pass through another country without applying for protections. The regulation would nullify the majority of asylum claims, including those of Central Americans fleeing persecution in their home countries.
In the lawsuit, which was filed in the Northern District of California, the ACLU argued the new regulation “is a part of an unlawful effort to significantly undermine, if not virtually repeal, the U.S. asylum system.”
If history is any indication, the case will play out in a familiar pattern.
The ACLU and their open borders allies filed suit in a carefully chosen district court to make sure an Obama judge hears their case and rule in their favor.
The Trump administration will appeal and the outcome will depend on whether the three-judge panel hearing the case is made up a of majority of Obama activists or two of the three judges hearing the case are jurists committed to the rule of law.
