Joe Biden declaring himself President-elect is causing him a big problem.
It’s one he never saw coming.
And William Barr made a big announcement about a criminal probe that is bad news for Joe Biden.
Attorney General William Barr told the Associated Press that he appointed United States Attorney John Durham as a special counsel to make sure his criminal investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax was completed no matter who won the Presidential election.
“I decided the best thing to do would be to appoint them under the same regulation that covered Bob Mueller, to provide Durham and his team some assurance that they’d be able to complete their work regardless of the outcome of the election,” Barr explained.
Many Trump supporters feared that if Biden won the election, his new Attorney General would quickly shut down the Durham investigation and the American people would never learn the truth about how the Obama administration and the FBI schemed to frame Donald Trump and his aides for acting as Russian spies.
So far Durham has only produced one guilty plea.
And many Trump supporters worried that when Attorney General Barr announced there would be no indictments or reports before the election that the one guilty plea by FBI agent Kevin Clinesmith would be the totality of Durham’s work.
A potential President Biden could still fire Durham, but doing so would invite massive opposition from Republican Senators and could grind the process of confirming Biden’s nominees to a halt.
Trump supporters have felt like Charlie Brown with Lucy yanking away the football with regards to the various investigations into the Deep State coup to remove Donald Trump from office.
And now special counsel Durham is the last chance to see Obama’s Deep State allies and corrupt FBI officials held accountable for their crimes.
