William Barr told one jaw-dropping truth about Obama spying on Trump

Inspector General Michael Horowitz finally delivered his long-awaited report on the FBI’s conduct in the Russian collusion hoax.

Democrats and their allies in the Fake News Media breathed a sigh of relief as they thought this nightmare was finally behind them.

But then William Barr told one truth about Obama spying on Trump that left Democrats realizing their worst nightmare just came true.

As an Obama appointee, Inspector General Horowitz did his level best to obscure and soft peddle the FBI’s clear crimes in spying on the Trump campaign.

Horowitz sandwiched obvious examples of the FBI lying, manufacturing evidence, withholding exculpatory evidence from a FISA court and relying on unverified gossip to justify their spying on the Trump campaign with dubious claims that the snooping was not politically motivated and that there was sufficient legal basis for the investigations.

The Fake News Media ignored all clear evidence of FBI corruption to claim the FBI was “vindicated” by the report.

But then Attorney General William Barr stepped up and made it clear this is far from over.

The New York Times reports:

When the Mueller report was made public this spring, Attorney General William P. Barr seemed to try to blunt its findings, playing them down in an early summary and defending President Trump at a news conference just before its release.

On Monday, when the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, rejected one of Mr. Trump’s main attacks on the F.B.I. and declared the bureau had adequate reason to investigate the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, Mr. Barr again stepped in, issuing a statement saying that the F.B.I. instead should not have opened the investigation in 2016.

“The F.B.I. launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken,” he said.

United States Attorney John Durham is still investigating the matter and announced he is now conducting a criminal probe.

Barr’s comments that the basis of the FBI’s Russia investigation was a hoax is a hint that Barr and Durham have uncovered far more damaging information about how the FBI ginned up the Russian collusion conspiracy theory than Horowitz is letting on.
