In many ways, Winsome Sears is the corporate media’s worst nightmare.
That became clear on Sunday.
And Winsome Sears just shut down this huge CNN lie about Critical Race Theory.
Newly-elected Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Sears appeared on CNN’s State of the Union this past Sunday.
During the interview, CNN’s Dana Bash asked Sears about her opposition to teaching Critical Race Theory in schools.
Bash repeated the corporate media lie that Critical Race Theory is not part of the curriculum in the state of Virginia.
Sears quickly called out Bash for that falsehood.
“Well, let me backup. I beg to differ that CRT is not taught,” Sears interjected.
Bash responded by trying to play word games, “I didn’t say that. I said it’s not in the curriculum just to be clear,” Bash responded.
Sears was having none of it.
The new Lt. Governor-elect noted that in 2015 then-Governor Terry McAuliffe’s administration instructed schools on how to implement racist Critical Race Theory in the classroom lessons.
“No, it is weaved in and out of the curriculum. In 2015, the former Governor, who was just defeated, McAuliffe, his state Board of Education had information on how to teach it, so it’s weaved in. So you know, it’s semantics, but it’s weaved in,” Sears stated.
Sears continued on, noting, “What we want to say and what governor-elect Youngkin has said is that all of history must be taught, the good, the bad and the ugly. Because what we learn from history is that we don’t learn from history, and we continue to repeat the same mistakes.”
CNN and other corporate media outlets deny that Critical Race Theory is being taught in schools because liberal activists in the press know how unpopular this racist ideology is and that it will cost Democrats elections if it becomes an issue.
But Winsome Sears was not about to let CNN get away with this level of gaslighting.
