Candace Cameron Bure Walked Into a Hollywood Sex Party and Did Something Most Stars Never Would

The woman who left Hallmark to put Jesus back in Christmas movies just told her podcast audience about the night she walked into a Hollywood sex party.

She and her husband Val made a U-turn and left.

That might sound simple – and that's exactly the point.

The Night She Walked Into the Wrong Room

It started as a simple favor to a friend.

Bure and her husband Val – the former NHL star she married in 1996 – accepted an invitation to what they thought was an ordinary Hollywood gathering.

They were wrong.

"It ended up being this underground party that was an S&M, like, sex thing that was so dark and demonic," Bure told her podcast audience this week.

She didn't ease into that description.

"My eyeballs were popping out of my head because I saw stuff I had never seen before in my life."

She grabbed Val and they made a "hard U-turn" straight out the door.

"It was just so slimy and weird," she said. "We just had no idea what we were walking into, and it was so disgusting and gross."

No rationalizing. No staying because the host was connected and the career implications were real.

She left.

The Hollywood Most Stars Don't Talk About

Fox News first documented Hollywood's underground sex circuit more than a decade ago.

Industry insiders described parties with code words for entry – called "NH" parties, for "Never Happened."

The Diddy case turned that underground world into a federal courtroom.

Prosecutors spent weeks in 2025 laying out how Sean Combs organized what they called "Freak-Offs" – sex parties that prosecutors said went on for days with participants under the influence of controlled substances.

A jury convicted Combs on two prostitution-related counts, and he's currently serving a sentence of just over four years in federal prison.

The Diddy trial confirmed what a lot of people already suspected – that Hollywood's underground party scene wasn't a fringe phenomenon.

It was a feature.

And the people invited to those parties had a choice to make.

Bure made hers years ago – long before it was a legal matter for anyone.

“I have some really weird embarrassing moments,” Bure said. “Although I shouldn’t say embarrassing for me, they were more shameful of going to places where I thought, like, ‘Oh, this person’s a friend, and I’m going to be cool and do this.’”

What Faith Actually Looks Like in Practice

Bure has spent three decades being the most openly Christian woman in Hollywood.

She walked away from Hallmark to build a network that actually says "Jesus" in Christmas movies.

She got attacked by her Full House co-stars and didn't back down.

She turned down scripts for 40 years that asked her to compromise her values.

But those are easy things to talk about in a press tour.

Walking out of a room that could have cost you a friendship – or a connection, or a career favor – in real time?

That's the actual thing.

"I know who I am because I know who God tells me that I am," Bure said.

That's not a line from a Hallmark movie.

That's what it looks like when someone actually means it – and the Diddy trial just reminded everyone that not many people in that town do.
