Joe Rogan Said Two Words About Voter ID That Have Democrats Scrambling

Chuck Schumer just called voter ID "Jim Crow 2.0" – and even his own party is laughing at him.

Now Joe Rogan weighed in, and he didn't mince words.

What he said on Tuesday cuts through every talking point Democrats have built this argument on.

Rogan Calls Out the Groupthink

On his podcast Tuesday, Rogan sat down with journalist Michael Shellenberger and the conversation turned to voter ID.

Shellenberger explained the progressive position – that requiring ID to vote echoes the dark days of Jim Crow, when poll taxes and literacy tests kept Black Americans from the ballot box.

Rogan's response was immediate.

"That's horses—," he said.

He wasn't done.

Rogan pointed out that during COVID, Americans were required to flash a vaccination card to enter a restaurant, board a plane, or attend a concert.

Democrats demanded it.

Now those same people claim asking for ID at the ballot box is an attack on civil rights.

"ID is not a barrier," Rogan said. "It's just insurance that you're a citizen while you're voting."

He also pushed back on the claim that most progressives genuinely believe the Jim Crow comparison.

"I think it's a groupthink thing," Rogan said. "Most people in this country who are citizens have some form of ID or can get some form of ID."

Schumer Says Jim Crow – His Own Voters Disagree

Chuck Schumer has a problem.

He's been calling the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act "Jim Crow 2.0," pledging that every Senate Democrat will vote against any bill containing it.

But Pew polling shows 71% of Democrats favor requiring a government-issued photo ID to vote.

Among all Americans, that number hits 83%.

Schumer is staking the party's position on a talking point the majority of his own voters reject.

Even Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman went on Fox News and destroyed the argument directly.

"I would never refer to the SAVE Act as like Jim Crow 2.0 or some kind of mass conspiracy," Fetterman said. "It's not a radical idea for regular Americans to show your ID to vote – and absolutely those things are not Jim Crow or anything."

Fetterman said the quiet part out loud that every honest Democrat knows but won't admit.

The Rest of the World Figured This Out Decades Ago

Here's what Democrats never want you to see.

176 countries require voter ID – including Mexico, which uses a biometric photo ID with a thumbprint.

India issues its Electoral Photo Identity Card to every registered voter.

France requires it. Israel requires it. Norway requires it. Germany requires it.

After Mexico tightened its voter ID system in 1991, turnout climbed from an average of 59% in the three elections before the reforms to 68% in the three elections after.

Making elections more secure didn't suppress voters. It gave citizens confidence the system was worth participating in.

Democrats Know Exactly What They're Doing

That's not a coincidence.

That's a strategy.

When you refuse to verify that voters are citizens, you're not protecting democracy – you're making it easier to dilute the votes of actual Americans.

Democrats blocked a Virginia voter ID pilot program in 1999 before a single ballot was cast.

They've called every version of this legislation racist, suppressive, and now Jim Crow 2.0.

Meanwhile, they required vaccine cards to buy a cup of coffee.

The double standard is so obvious that even Joe Rogan – who spent years giving progressives more benefit of the doubt than they deserved – just called it what it is.
